Have you looked out your window on your drive to work and noticed the trash littering our roads? Avyance is committed to our community and to helping improve the environment. We enrolled in Virginia’s Adopt-a-Highway program to help clean up roadside trash. We decided to put our commitment to work and pick up the trash that would otherwise pollute our communities, backyards, and streams.

In November 2019, five Avyance employees teamed up with members of the Langley High School Band to clean up Trap Road and Spring Hill Road in Fairfax County. Working together made all the difference – we covered four miles of roads and had fun along the way. We even found and cleared the entire front bumper of a Lexus! Did you know that each year in Virginia, nearly 18,000 Adopt-a-Highway volunteers collect trash along the roads and highways, saving the state millions of dollars and picking over 25,600 bags of waste?
